It goes without saying that LifeGroups are a key part of Creekside’s discipleship strategy. If you have been in one for a while you already know they create an environment where group members take next steps together to FOLLOW JESUS, LOVE GOD and LOVE PEOPLE.
HOW DO COACH’S FIT INTO ALL OF THIS:
LifeGroup Coaches have an important role to play on Creekside’s leadership team. Christian life Coaches have training that others in the body of Christ do not. Based on their own experience of leading groups, Coaches provide encouragement, wisdom, and accountability for LifeGroup leaders to help them succeed in leading, managing and multiplying their groups.
At the core of our definition of coaching is the foundational scripture Proverbs 20:5 – “The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out.”
We also believe Coaching is a gift to the Church and, if we the leaders embrace it, it will advance the work throughout our community for the greater glory of God. Coaching at Creekside is all about growth – moving leaders where they are now to where they want to be.
IS COACHING RIGHT FOR YOU?:
Well, that depends! It depends on your current circumstances, personal preference and God’s leading at this time. Everything starts with a conversation. We encourage you to speak with Jeff Austen, Adult Ministries Pastor at Creekside. Now, here’s another good question for you.
